Install update

The plugin does not update automatically each time a new version is published. It is up to the database administrator to decide when to update the plugin. Only a fix republished under the same version number reaches you without doing anything, the next time your database's page is reloaded.

Check the installed version

The version number is shown in the header of the Ninext panel, at the far right:

Open the plugin card

In "Edit mode", click Ninox's plugin menu (the puzzle-piece icon), then Manage plugin. The page that opens presents each available plugin, with its version number:

Update the plugin

When a new version is published, click the Update button on the plugin card, then reload your database's page.

Switch from the stable version to the beta, or back

Ninext is offered as two cards: "Ninext v3", the stable version, and "Ninext v3 Beta", which gives access to new features before their release. To switch from one to the other, uninstall the one in place (Uninstall plugin), install the other (Install plugin), then reload the page.

The plugin's settings — the Ninext Settings, the Schema Overview views, the Console history shared between your computers — are saved in the database, with the installed plugin. When switching from one card to the other, you may therefore start again from the default settings: write yours down before uninstalling.
